L'Ensemble Rayé was a Swiss avant-garde jazz and experimental music group formed in 1982 by Jean-Jacques Pedretti, Pierre Kaufmann, and later joined by other musicians. Blending elements of jazz, chamber music, and folk influences, the group developed a distinctive sound characterized by playful melodies, intricate arrangements, and a whimsical approach to composition. Over the years, L'Ensemble Rayé released several albums on the Swiss label RecRec Music, gaining recognition in the European avant-garde scene for their innovative and eclectic style.
