Romanian musician, conductor, composer, orchestrator, saxophonist and clarinetist born on October 16, 1924 in Târgu Mureş, Romania. He was nicknamed Șony. In 1957 he became a member of Electrecord Orchestra. Between 1963 - 1980, he was the conductor of Electrecord Orchestra. He performend often in Western Europe. He died on September 13, 1980 while driving, after a musical engagement, close to Munich, Germany.
