Cowpunk band from Austin, Texas, formed in 1984 by vocalist Jeff Smith and guitarist Jukebox (2) with the concept of “hardcore punk meets hardcore country.” The band decided to break up in 1989, though they played some tours with varying lineups until 1991.
Hickoids played some sporadic reunion shows before starting to regularly perform, record and tour together in 2006.
