Born 30 August 1916 i Nelson, New Zealand Died July 23, 1983 (aged 66) in Sydney, Australia.
At age fifteen he left home to launch himself into show business and began recording when he was eighteen. He he emigrated to Australia to continue his recording career. He found success in Australia and the US. He's also credited as Robert Tex Morton.
He sometimes billed as The Singing Cowboy Sensation, performing for rodeos, and singing in a yodeling style.
