Álvarez helped found Billy Bond's La Pesada Del Rock And Roll. He would found Talent (4), a sublabel of Microfon and produced some of the most popular Argentine rock bands of the time.
In the late 70s he moved to Spain due to the military dictatorship, becoming a famous producer with [l578150] and later Hispavox, S.A. reaching success with artists like Mecano, Ole Ole or Joaquín Sabina.
Jorge Álvarez passed on July 5, 2015 in Buenos Aires, aged 83.
