Italian pianist, singer and violinist, born 1908 in Genoa, Italy.
Alvaro played in Genoa with
Tullio Mobiglia and others 1927-1933. From 1934 played piano and violin in a small band led by Gorni Kramer in Milan, which made several recordings for Fonit 1935-1936. He also played with Piero Cottiglieri, He left Gorni and in the 1940s formed Quintetto Fantasma, with which he recorded.
Alvaro switched from jazz to write pop music in the 1960s.
