Swedish guitarist, born October 23, 1949 in Bergvik, Sweden - ✝ June 12, 2022, Munich.

Mats Bjorklund (drummer),
Mats Björklund (Uppsala/Australia based guitarist).

He was one of three guitar players when The Spotnicks became a six piece band in 1973. He stayed until 1975.

After that he became a studio musician in Munich.

As a studio musician, Björklund has worked with artists such as Donna Summer and on several of Boney M 's albums, as well as other HANSA Records artists like Amii Stewart.
Björklund worked in the 1970s in West Germany with Giorgio Moroder at Musicland Studios in Munich, including in the group Munich Machine. In the early 1980s, he worked with Italian musicians such as Umberto Tozzi and the duo Al Bano & Romina Power. Björklund lived in Munich from 1976 up to his passing in June 2022.
