Karl-Hackl was the director of the Chorvereinigung Haar from 1921 to 1987. During this time he also founded a children's choir with an Orff play group (Haarer Kinderchor), which performed regularly at Christmas markets and even at national youth singing.

Karl Hackl died unexpectedly for everyone on August 18, 1987.
