Marcos J. López Ayala is a Puerto Rican producer, composer, educator, and multi-percussionist based in New York City. When not on the road with Marc Anthony, you can catch him performing with artists like Angelique Kidjo, Issac Delgado, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Jeremy Bosch, David Rivera y La Bámbula, Sonido Solar, Unified Sound, Lila Downs, and Plena Libre, among others. Some of Marcos’ most recent recordings and productions are included in Jeremy Bosch’s Epílogo: La Clave del Tiempo, and Prefacio: The Music of Cheo Feliciano, Issac Delgado’s Lluvia y Fuego, and Disney’s In The Heights Movie Soundtrack. His clinic roster includes the Montreal Drum Fest, PASIC, Berklee, and the Percussion Festival in The PRCM. In 2017, Marcos partnered with Paulo Stagnaro and Congachops.com, an ever-expanding resource for online percussion education.
