His musical background consists of being a bandleader for East Bay musical salsa groups such as Orquesta Radiante and Cadencia. He's studied trumpet brass music with the Bill Bell Orquestra and Phillip Hardyman and the legendary Carlos Frederico. It was Carlos Frederico that inspired Manuel into the salsa music spectrum
