In 1990, David Pottsy Potts was working at
Peter Hook's Suite Sixteen studio when he was asked to join the live line-up of
Revenge to help flesh-out their sound. His guitar playing impressed the band leader, and soon he had replaced original guitarist Dave Hicks, recording their final Gun World Porn EP as a fully fledged member. Shortly after, Revenge collapsed and Hook returned to his New Order duties.
Hook and Potts continued recording together, forming
Monaco. Their debut album was a hit in the UK and US. But the follow-up died, a victim to bad label luck. Post- Monaco, Potts has performed solo, and under the band name
Ram.
