Dutch pop singer, born on March 29th, 1954 in Best, Netherlands.
She is a member of Luv’, a famous Dutch girl group in the late 1970s and early 1980s that scored hits in more than 15 countries.
In late 1981, she went solo and was successful in her homeland and in the Flanders region of Belgium between 1982 and 1985 by covering classic pop hits.
Among her greatest hits are:
Peggy March’s I Will Follow Him (that hit the number-one spot in Holland and Belgium in 1982),
Doris Day’s Secret Love (in 1982) and
Leonard Cohen’s So Long, Marianne (a duet with
Ron Brandsteder in late 1983). In 1984, she formed an occasional duo known as Bonnie & José with
Bonnie St. Claire to record Dutch cover versions of
ABBA’s songs. She still performs solo and with Luv’.
