California-based trip-hop band formed by Marc Jameson and Jacqueline Gallier. Their sound had a rhythmic core of downtempo drum&bass, hip-hop and syncopated breaks, mixed with samples from 60s-70s vinyls, standup bass, fuzz guitars, looped textures, flutes, & psychedelic randomness. They achieved a balance between groove and melody, using 'pop' elements in a non-pop way, in the same way that bands like Portishead or UNKLE have.
