Kim Nam-joon (Korean: 김남준 , born on September 12,1994 in Seoul), better known by his stage name RM (formerly Rap Monster), is a South Korean rapper, songrwiter and record producer. He is the leader and main rapper of South Korean band BTS since 2013.

Following the release of their album LOVE YOURSELF '承' Her, Nam-joon officially announced that he was changing his stage name from Rap Monster to simply RM, as he felt the old name no longer represented who he was and the music that he creates (Billboard, 2017).
