Simon’s diverse music career began in the late 1980s during his time at Exeter University, where he formed the experimental band Headless Chickens alongside Thom Yorke (Radiohead), John Matthias, and Laura Forrest-Hay. His trajectory into electronic music started with the pioneering electronic rock outfit Flicker Noise, followed by Lunatic Calm, whose music became iconic for its inclusion in films like The Matrix and countless video games.

As Elite Force, Simon was a defining figure in the tech-funk movement, merging breaks, techno, house, and electro into a dynamic, award-winning sound. His Zodiac Cartel alias dominated the electro house and fidget house scenes, earning him multiple Beatport chart successes.
