American bassist and guitarist.

Paul claimed to be the songwriter of the song You Are My Sunshine. Paul said he sold the song to artist and future governor Jimmie Davis, for whom it became a hit record and tremendous money-maker. According to a story in the Shreveport Times of September 16, 1956, Paul said he sold the song to' Davis and his partner Charles Mitchell for $35, money he needed to pay his wife's hospital bills.
The brothers were both drafted and served in World War II. After the war, Paul continued to play bass. mainly in Atlanta, Georgia, until his retirement from the music business about 1960.
