Gosh began classical piano study at the age of six and became
Kitty Kallen’s pianist at the age of 16. He then moved to New York City where he played piano and sang in Manhattan night clubs while studying orchestration at Julliard School Of Music. He then started a songwriting partnership with
Sammy Cahn and became
Paul Anka’s pianist and co-writer. It was Gosh vocals that featured on the original piano-voice demo of My Way that was presented to
Frank Sinatra.
Gosh signed a recording contract with Polydor in the early ’70s, one of his songs from this era, A Little Bit More, became a world-wide hit for
Dr. Hook. His songs have since featured in movies such as Big starring Tom Hanks or Woody Allen’s Mighty Aphrodite and he has composed, produced and sung on over 200 national radio and television commercials, with his Welcome To Our World Of Toys song featured in the FAO Schwarz toys stores.
Gosh lives in Vermont and owns a recording studio, [l383909], where the music-box parts of
Björk’s album [m=37082] were recorded.
