American songwriter and occasional producer, born 29th November 1940, in Houston, Texas and died 8th June 2024 aged 83. His most notable works included The Eyes Of A New York Woman, Hooked on a Feeling, Suspicious Minds, Roller Coaster and Always On My Mind (co-written with Johnny Christopher and Wayne Carson Thompson).
