Rui Mifune / Goemon





Rui Mifune, aka Goemon, was a singer and songwriter in the São Paulo underground of the 1980s, from the Lira Paulistana generation, and also worked as a producer.

He produced Cartola's “Ao Vivo”; “Misturada” with Marcos Valle; Joyce; Quarteto em Cy; Luis Carlos Vinhas; Claudete Soares and Roberto Menescal. Produced, mixed and released Itamar Assumpção's “Sampa Midnight”. Remixed and re-released “Beleléu”, Itamar's first album.

Mifune released his LP “Goemon” in 1985, singing his own compositions.

In Japan, where he lived for many years, he produced and co-produced albums and anthologies by various Brazilian artists.

Mifune passed away on June 11, 2012
