Charles Reid ran the Duke Reid International Sound System in London (he was not related to Arthur Duke Reid) . He would spend his time between the UK and Jamaica where he produced and released recordings mainly on his [l216180] and [l546202] labels, he was also responsible for a number of release on the [l61625] label.

All of Charles Reid's productions were credited to C. Reid, as this name is fairly common it is not possile to be 100% certain that he was responsible for all releases bearing this name.
