Rednose Distrikt started out as a collaboration betweentwo Amsterdam based artists, Kid Sublime and Steven de Peven. Kid Sublime left Rednose Distrikt and his place has since been taken by Aardvarck.

Soundwise the change in the group has had no effects, they still experiment with everything that ranges from broken-beat, off-side techno, cut-up soul or sample-slapstick-jazz.
