The producers behind the brand new act UNITED BASS INVADERS are certainly no strangers. Behind the acronym UBI are Frankfurt-based Space Frog producer CET Merlin and the co-producer of the Culture Beat album Serenity, Peter Zweier. A little over a year ago, CET Merlin stormed the top 10 of the German Media Control Charts with the title Follow Me. He then also landed a Europe-wide sales hit with the follow-up single I Feel Your Pain. He is currently releasing his album Welcome All Species, on which Peter Zweier also contributed to some of the tracks. The album will of course feature all of the Space Frog hits and many more. With his tracks, CET Merlin has not only rocked the dance floors as a sought-after dance act, but has also created a new genre of music. This further development of hip hop and techno, which he initiated, could be described as TecHop.

His characteristic, pioneering sound constructions have already found various imitators. The two science fiction freaks have also been involved in other projects. Peter has co-produced and co-composed the tracks Die schwarze Zone, T-raumreise and the album Plasma for Klangwerk and LDC, among others. As mentioned above, he was also co-producer of the mega-seller Serenity by Culture Beat, which spawned several massive global hits (Mr. Vain, Got To Get It, Anything). CET Merlin co-founded the label Energized Rec in 1993 and has also worked as a producer and composer for Lords Of Octagon, Unknown Chilling Beats and The Rotten Duck. He was also largely responsible for the success of these tracks as a remixer of VIP, Sun Club's Fiesta, Teddy Riley's Marvin Gardens and Da Hool's Meet Her At The Love Parade.

They chose the 1990 techno classic Quadrophonia, which was released by the act of the same name and has now been given a contemporary makeover by UBI, as inspiration for their current collaboration. The united bass invaders have a few surprises in store for the stage version of this hit, but will definitely be joined by a live drummer. They are not normal MCs in stereo.
