American producer, engineer, multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter. As well as steel guitar, lap steel, pedal steel and dobro, he also played guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, and more.

Born in Fort Worth, Texas. Moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1986, where he established The Train recording studio. Relocated to Spicewood (near Austin), Texas, in the mid-2000s. Died 28 November 2021 at the age of 69.
