Swedish jazz and rock guitarist and music teacher with a long-standing musical career.
He has toured in the USA, Canada, India and China, among other places. Max Åhman has played everything from symphonic rock, blues to world music. For many years Max was a member of the music group Mynta (1989-2016) where he composed most of the group's melodies.
He played with the symphonic group Kaipa during some years. He was also a member of the well-regarded jazz-rock fusion group Egba for a few years. He has also collaborated with artists such as Maritza Horn, Merit Hemmingsson and Coste Apetrea.
In 1986 he released his own album “Max on Wax”. Among his more famous compositions is “Nandu’s Dance”, which was released on record with the group Mynta in 1994 and was later performed by chamber orchestras in Brazil and the USA.
