Carvalho cuts can be identified by a etched monogram very similar to the @ symbol, only changing the a for its initial w in lowercase, normally followed by a numeral (Arabic or Roman) plus the letter C indicating the matrix cutting number.

The symbol can be represented on BaOI fields as @, ධ, ω, ⓦ or ⓤ
