Born March 16, 1951 in Coldwater, Mississippi.
He has played with Albert King, Albert Collins, John Littlejohn, Fenton Robinson, Jimmy Johnson and many others.
His brother, Aron Burton (b. 1938) is a blues bassist and singer.
