Born March 3, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois, based in Los Angeles. He has collaborated with Ernie Watts, Phil Woods and Freddie Hubbard among others, worked extensively as a session musician in the 1970s and early 1980s before turning to composition for film and TV. Inventor of The Refractor Piano.
