American heavy metal bass player who did stints in several bands during the 1980s, most notably Black Sabbath. Born February 22, 1958.
He was also an early member of White Lion, leaving the band before they recorded their first album. Today, he practices law in Florida, although he does still play music locally.

Dave is also the brother of former Anthrax guitarist Dan Spitz.
