Einar Nilsson





Swedish composer and music director, born 2 July 1924 in Påarp, Malmöhus County, died 10 January 1995.

He graduated as a cantor at the Royal Academy of Music in 1945, as an organist in 1946 and as a music teacher in 1949. He was head teacher of music at Nicolaiskola in Helsingborg from 1949 and music consultant in the Helsingborg school board from 1964. He was a leader in the municipal music school, organist in the Bårslöv and Fjärestad parishes, the Helsingborg carillon and conductor of the Quartet Singing Society in Helsingborg from 1949–1963. He participated in Swedish Radio and TV. He was a member of the church council in the Bårslöv parish. He composed music in connection with exhibitions, anniversaries and the like.
