Born: 20th April 1935 in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA.

Blake worked with (among others) Oscar Peterson, Jaki Byard, Mary Lou Williams, Mal Waldron, Houston Person, William Russo, Gunther Schuller, Kate Wolf, Ricky Ford.

Since 1962 he recorded as a leader.
