American NASA astronaut, test pilot, aerospace engineer, university professor, United States Naval Aviator, and the first person to set foot upon the Moon.
He was born 5 August 1930 near Wapakoneta, Ohio, USA, died 25 August 2012 in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.
His son Rick Armstrong is in the band Edison’s Children, a side-project for Marillion bass player Pete Trewevas.
