Started on guitar at 10 years old and became largely self taught by playing with the music on radio & TV.

Has toured as sideman for groups such as The Standells & The Grass Roots as a teenager & collaborated with fellow jazz artists Hubert Laws, Larry Coryell, Ernie Watts, & Airto Moreira.

Husband of pianist Lisa Linsky.
