(October 5, 1932 – October 31, 2023) American record producer, writer, critic, and jurist. Best known as head of [l15491] Recordings, a branch of Sony Music Entertainment, and as creator and producer of the Roots 'n' Blues series. He became vice-president of CBS/Epic records and later head of Playboy Records and Music.
