British classical viola player. Also known as Paddy Hooley. Born 7 July 1937 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England, UK - Died 7 May 2005 in Somerset, England, UK.
He joined the National Youth Orchestra Of Great Britain, and trained as a musician at the [l290263]. As a violist, he worked throughout his life with various leading British orchestras, starting with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and continuing with the London Symphony Orchestra (1966-1988), Orchestra Of The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and The English National Opera Orchestra.
He married Sylvia Knussen in 1958 (to about 1970). Father of Martin Hooley.
