Born on 25th of December 1963 in Nowa Dęba, Poland. Polish vocalist of Bulgarian origins.
Her mother is Polish, father is Bulgarian. She spent her childhood in Bulgaria and moved to Poland when she was 11 years old.
Before starting her musical career she worked in the 3rd channel of Polish Radio, where she got her nickname Fiolka, given by her mate
Marek Niedźwiecki.
In 1985 she joined
Voo Voo as a singer and toured with the band in USSR & Sweden.
In 1988 together with
Sławomir Starosta she formed electric pop-folk band called
Balkan Electrique.
Also cooperated with
Army Of Lovers,
Closterkeller,
Wilki and many others.
She later worked for Sony Music Polska, where she was a radio plugger. While working for Sony, Fiolka was approached by her boss about recording an album under her own name. The self-titled album produced by Leszek Biolik was released by Sony Music Polska in 2001 and won the annual Fryderyk Award for Best Alternative Album. After touring for many months, she decided to resign from recording and now lives in London, UK.
She has published two books about her life.
