Hexx is a power/thrash/death metal band from San Francisco, California, USA, that was formed in 1978 under the name name American Standard. During the first year, the band changed its name to Paradox and finally, in 1983, to Hexx.

Originally a Power Metal band named Paradox, Hexx had slowly progressed into a Thrash/Death Metal act by 1988, success had always eluded the band and they split up some time after the release of their final album Morbid Reality.
