Musician from Champaign, Illinois. Gerard played bass and drums in a number of indie rock and roots rock bands including The Farmboys, The Bowery Boys, The Great Crusades, Steve Pride & His Blood Kin, and The Moon Times Seven.
From 2011 to 2015, he was the mayor of Champaign.
