The Esquires is a Finnish rock group, founded in 1962 in Helsinki, Finland by the brothers
Eero Raittinen and
Jussi Raittinen. First lineup was Eero Raittinen (drums), Jussi Raittinen (rhythm guitar), Reijo Bergström (solo guitar), Kari Bergström (bass). Kari Bergström was soon replaced by Jorma Kalenius. Brothers Raittinen left The Esquires in the autumn 1963 and they were replaced by Timo Jämsen (vocals, guitar) and Peter Snell (drums).
The Esquires scored some hits and played in several hit records as backing band. They split up in the late 1960s.
They got back together in the late 1990's and are performing still in
Back to the Sixties concerts.
