British music writer and press officer. He wrote for a variety of music publications during the 1970s, including Circus, Zigzag, Let It Rock, Sounds and Time Out before working for Warner Bros. in their press office in 1978. By the early 1980s he had set up Brassneck Publicity. He also went on to write for Mojo and Uncut as well as authoring a number of biographies.
