One of the leading American scholars and historians of R&B and Rock ’N’ Roll music, Pete Grendysa wrote countless sleeve notes for Rhino, Bear Family, MCA, Columbia, Atlantic, Route 66 (and its associated R&B labels), and contributed to such publications as Goldmine and Record Collector Monthly. Peter also has a radio show on WYMS in the 1980's along with his wife, Betty.

Peter was from Milwaukee Wisconsin and died on 8th October, 2021.
