Sam Lakeman is a folk musician from Devon, England. He started out performing with his brothers Seth Lakeman and Sean Lakeman. The brothers then formed the group Equation with singers Kathryn Roberts and Kate Rusby.
Sam left Equation in 1997 with Cara Dillon, who had replaced Kate, and appeared with Seth on Cara's debut album. The couple were married in 2002 and continue to perform and record together.
