Over two decades, he has built his career elevating underground recordings, and award-winning artists like
Andy Shauf,
Lido Pimienta, and
The Acorn. He has served as technical director for independent music festivals, as well as managed production for large-scale events at national institutions.
Graduating from Toronto’s Harris Institute of the Arts, Bartlett has produced Polaris-nominated albums, recorded in every DIY/remote space imaginable, and is a house engineer at Ottawa’s legendary tape-based recording studio Little Bullhorn Productions (
Kathleen Edwards,
Howe Gelb,
Sly & Robbie).
Bartlett has over 10 years experience as a contract audio consultant. He served as founding technical director of Ottawa’s Arboretum and MEGAPHONO festivals, and has been a stage manager for Ottawa’s RBC Bluesfest and CityFolk. Since 2012 he has been an Event Production Coordinator at the Canadian War Museum, and the Canadian Museum of History.
