Pseudonym used by the British songwriting duo
James Campbell and
Reginald Connelly.
Under the pseudonym Irving King, Campbell and Connelly published their first hit, Show Me The Way To Go Home, in 1925. It sold 2 million copies of sheet music copies in its first year. This was followed by two minor successes, Chick, Chick, Chick, Chick, Chicken (Lay A Little Egg For Me) (1925, with Fred Holt and Thomas McGhee), and Bah, Bah, Bah, Bartholomew (1925, with Harry Melcliffe), and another great hit, The More We Are Together (1926).
