Belgian singer, musician, film maker and author, born on 27 May 1961 near Brussels, better known under the nickname Marka. Married to Laurence Bibot, and father of Roméo Elvis & Angèle. He grew up in Molenbeek and started his musical career in 1978 in a punk band called The Profiles, singing and playing bass. In 1981 he joined Allez Allez, who released 2 albums of which 1 reached gold status in Belgium. He then formed Les Cactus in 1983, a garage-rock band, and in 1988 he formed Bla Bla Bla, a rock/rap combo. In 1992 he started making solo records. In 2007 there was the Monsieur & Madame project.
