Playing own style of Kora since 1985, Ravi has also developed stereo, electric and aluminium kora. He has over fifteen album releases; His live and CD projects include: Kora Colours Band, The Afro-Indian Project, Infinity (with RAVI’S sister, Suvarna).
Ravi has played with Nigel Kennedy, Jackie McShee, Marlui Miranda, The Yardbirds, Phil Manzanera, Jon Lord, Danny Thompson, Arthur Brown, Loop Guru, Hari Prasad, Justin Vali and Vasmalom.
He also stages workshops in overtone singing and percussion. Instruments played are: Kora (acoustic and electric), Percussion, Ethnic Flutes, Guitar, Keyboards, Bass, Harps, Hammer Dulcimer, Singer/Songwriter, Overtone/Throat Singing
