American noise/indie rock band initially formed by Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon and Pussy Galore's Julie Cafritz in 1992, joined by Yoshimi from Boredoms (on drums) in 1993 and Pavement's Mark Ibold on bass in 1994. The group stopped in 1997 but was reactivated in 2007, without Mark Ibold.
