Swedish musician, born July 21, 1978. He was born and raised in Stockholm, where he also lived all his life.

He was the drummer in Melody Club from 2001 - 2005 and appeared on the group's first two albums Music Machine and Face the Music. In 2005, Ankers was replaced by Andy Miltvedt. He made a comeback in the group in October 2010, when Andy A resigned from the band, but already in January 2011, Ankers announced that he was taking a time-out from the group, due to being involved in a lawsuit. Ankers also did not participate during the group's appearance at the Melodifestivalen. Later in 2011, the group announced that Richard Ankers is back as a permanent drummer.
