Erskine Tate 1926-1928 and
Dave Peyton 1927-1930 in Chicago, joined
Cab Calloway in New York, returned to Chicago to lead own groups 1933-1935. From late 1930 until end of World War II played with and led army bands, then worked with
Harry Dial. Ceased to work full-time in music 1952.
