Known for the song There Must Be a Way (co-written by Robert Cook & Sammy Gallop), a song that charted four times in the U.S. & twice in the U.K. between 1945-67.

He also charted with Wish You Were Waiting for Me by Ginny Simms (1944, #23, co-written by Bob Russell) and Are These Really Mine? by Vaughn Monroe (1946, #12, co-written by Sunny Skylar & Robert Cook).
