Danish jazz drummer, vocalist and radio and TV presenter, 1925-1973. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, but migrated with his family to Gentofte, Denmark as a child. Debut drumming with Peter Schiølers Amatørsekstet in 1942. With Svend Asmussen Orchestra 1942-1943. In 1943 also with the orchestra of Bent Fabricius-Bjerre. Good looks and a smooth crooner made him vocalist with Ib Glindemann And His Orchestra. The orchestra was house band at the illegal, commercial pirate-radio Radio Mercur, where Biker also worked as radio presenter. In the early 60's he became the leading TV-presenter on Danish national television and then only performed and recorded occasionally, like the 1963 cool jazz album Evergreens In Danish Design. In 1970 he made a Danish version of Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head a national hit but the year after he retired from music. Father of Peter Biker
